Adelaide in Chennai
HMAS Adelaide (CMDR David Johnston) sailed into the busy port of Chennai, India on June 9 to commence a four-day visit. The ship’s arrival marked the first visit by an Australian warship to Chennai (formally known as Madras) since 1992, when the port was visited by HMAS Swan. Adelaide’s last visit to India was at Port Blair in 1994.

Welcome home sailors
Well over 10,000 Perth residents turned out to cheer and say thank you to Australia’s military forces who took part in Operations Falconer/Bastille and Slipper.
