Cairns service awards

CAPT Mike Angus presents Erin Bennet and Joanne McGowan with the award and commendation.

While visiting HMAS Cairns on business recently, COS Naval Systems Command, CAPT Mike Angus was able to take a pleasant diversion to present two CSIG members with awards.

The awards were presented for contribution and service to HMAS Cairns and the Navy.
Mrs Erin Bennet was presented a Secretary’s Award for Achievement. This was in recognition of her ‘exemplary performance in the operation and management of HMAS Cairns’ Cryptographic Accounts.’

Mrs Joanne McGowan (ex-LSRO) was presented with a Commander Australian Navy Systems Command Commendation for her ‘dedication and devotion whilst serving at the Naval Communications Area Local Station Cairns.’

Both were very pleased and honoured to be recognised for their years of service.
