DHA Survey on
Each year, around this time, DHA conducts two major surveys, a Tenant and a Rent Allowance survey. These provide DHA with valuable feedback on housing preferences. Surveys will be sent at random to members who have been tenants of DHA homes for at least twelve months and to all Defence members with dependants who have been in privately rented homes for at least twelve months.
If you receive a survey please help DHA to help you by completing it openly and honestly.

Defence Minister Robert Hill has announced that the Government will invest $7 million to develop Australian-designed leading edge radar technology, which could be installed aboard the RAN’s new air warfare destroyers.

The ACT-based company CEA Technologies has designed the high-powered phased array radar.
The investment will permit further development of the radar so it can be used in medium to long-range air warfare and be capable of meeting theatre ballistic missile defence requirements.

“The Navy’s new air warfare destroyers will rely on the technological edge of the active phased array radars to search and detect potential air and surface threats,” Senator Hill said.

“The technology can also be applied to smaller ships and has the potential to significantly enhance the capability of the ANZAC frigates.”

Navy is currently testing a lower-powered production version of the radar. It promises to be significantly more capable than comparable radars in providing anti-ship missile defence for the ANZACs and similar sized vessels.
