The ADF Running and Athletics Association will conduct the 2003
State Teams Half Marathon Championship in conjunction with the
Canberra Half Marathon on Sunday May 18. The event comprises four
teams of ten runners (eight male and two female) representing
VIC, NSW/ACT, SA/WA/TAS and NT/QLD. Entries for team selection
close May 8 and can be forwarded to FSGT Warren Matulick, at DPO-AF,

The ADF Running and Athletics Associations National Track
and Field Championships will be held on April 26-27 at Alexandra
Park, Albury, (in conjunction with the Victorian Country Championships).
The event is open to all permanent and Reserve personnel and Defence
civilians in various age categories. Further details from the

football
The Australian Services Australian Football Associations
national combined services side will play a curtain-raiser at
the Sydney Cricket Ground on ANZAC Day against a combined Australian
Federal Police/Fire Brigade team. This is part of the Sydney Swans
commitment to supporting footy in the ADF, with their match against
Melbourne following the curtain-raiser at 3.50pm. Tickets for
Defence personnel are half price.

Join the Harman Hogs for their 2003 season launch on Saturday,
April 12, with Reserves kicking off at 12noon and Firsts at 2.15.
Festivities after the matches include a spit roast, an auction
for signed AFL jumpers, jumping castle and presentation of players
jumpers.
Bodybuilding
The 6th annual ADF Natural Bodybuilding and Figure Titles will
be held at HMAS Cerberus on June 23, featuring divisions for all
ADF permanent and Reserve personnel and Defence civilians. As
an amateur event, beginners are encouraged. Entry details and

Golf
The Central Region Military Golf Championships will be conducted
from July 13-15 at the Vines Golf Club, Reynella over 72 holes.
Entry fee is $45 which includes all green fees and presentations.

The ACT Veterans Rugby is set for another season for players who
have seen their glory days but would still like to play rugby.

for the activity have changed. It is important that applicants

Soccer
The Australian Combined Services Soccer Association is calling
for nominations for coaches, managers and trainers for the ADF
mens and womens teams in the Arafura Games in Darwin
from May 17-24 and a womens tour of Singapore in June. Nominations

and must be endorsed through the single Service soccer presidents.

The Australian Defence Force Tenpin Bowling Association will be
conducting its annual Nationals Tournament from June 23-27 in
NSW this year. State reps are requested to organise your individual
