An officer who led a team of RAN divers in helping HMS Nottingham
in the first perilous hours after she was torn open on Wolfe Rock,
Lord Howe Island last July, has had his work formally acknowledged.
LEUT Damien Scully (RAN) from AUSCDTONE, received the Maritime Commanders
Comm-endation at ceremonial Divisions held at Fleet Base East.
MC, RADM Raydon Gates personally presented the award before 1100
other officers and sailors.
