Get set for Penguin Gate-to-Gate

The HMAS Penguin 24th annual gate-to-gate fun run and powerwalk is to be held on Wednesday, November 20 commencing at 11am.

The fun run and walk starts from Penguin and competitors weave their way around a very picturesque yet challenging 5km course that affords some of the best views Sydney Harbour has to offer.

Categories for both men and women include open, veterans (over-35s), Penguin open, teams (six personnel), open walkers, master walkers (over-45s).

A special award for the best fancy dress will go to the individual with the most outrageous costume.

Organisers are hoping the race record time of 15min4sec, set by SMNCSO Walker in 1999, may fall this year.
The run is open to all ADF full-time and Reserve personnel, as well as police, ambulance, fire brigade and Defence civilians.

Admission is free, which provides you with a picturesque 5km course, BBQ and drinks on completion, trophies (category winners) and a cool dip in the diving school pool.

Entry forms may be obtained by contacting your local PT (tri-Service) or by contacting the Gate-to-Gate race organiser, POPT Peter Swift on 02-9960 0275 or email: peter.swift2@defence.gov.au.

Last entries by close of business Friday, November 15.
