Smooth removal kit released

Toll Transitions have released the new Easymove Home Kit, which has been revised to become the first designed specifically for Defence members. The easymove home guide, edition 2, benefits from the input of a cross section of Defence, NCGSF and DHA personnel. It contains information vital to the smooth removal of your furniture and effects.

The most critical information has been condensed into a separate booklet so you can refer to it when you need it most. Also in the kit is information on the new valet unpack service, providing added assistance in the unpacking of boxes. This service is provided on a user pays arrangement, at a most competitive price (and at no cost to approved DSNSG members), and the fridge magnet is back!

Remember, the information contained in this kit differs from and supersedes all previous versions.

Improvements to Toll Transitions’ website www.tolltransitions.com.au/ defence includes easy access for Defence members to their own Defence site.

The site has copies of all the documents in the kit and allows for the electronic submission of inventories. Toll Transitions would appreciate your feedback on the site and how it can be improved.

Toll Transitions, through its contract with Defence, provides cover to $100,000 of inventory value in each member’s removal of household and personal effects. The indemnity arrangement provides a like for like replacement of damaged goods, when repairs are not viable. Members with inventories exceeding $100,000 in value may still purchase top-up indemnity from Toll Transitions.

From August 1 members will benefit from a new and improved carton kit service. Toll Transitions will ensure the carton kit delivered to each member meets their needs for their removal. Toll Transitions closely scrutinising inventories, telephoning members and otherwise doing whatever is reasonable, will do this.

Carton kits’ content has been enhanced; a standard carton kit now has four portarobes, five standard cartons, two book cartons, a priority carton, paper and marking pen.

A mini kit contains two portarobes, two standard cartons, one book carton, a priority carton, paper and marking pen. In addition to a better mix of cartons in the kits, we have supplementary packs of portarobes to be delivered with the standard or mini kits, to assist in the packing of your clothes.

Feedback from members and their families on the effectiveness of this new arrangement will be appreciated. For more information contact Toll Transitions on 1800 819 167.
