Five members of the Clearance Diving Team Four have competed in and conquered the 17km Bay to Beaches Marathon for surf boats in Perth on October 15.

The race started on the Swan River and finished at Cottesloe Beach, with the team recording a memorable win.

More recently, the crew competed in the 12km Bridge to Bridge Marathon where they finished 7th after being hit by other surf boats twice during the race.

The crew rows for the Secret Harbour Surf Life Saving Club during the regular season and was to compete in the 20km Fremantle to Rottnest Island Classic which was cancelled due to the recent tragic shark attack.

During the first carnival of the season, the crew was eliminated in the semi-finals after beating more fancied and experienced crews on the day.

While the crew has only been rowing together for five months, they have raised the eyebrows of more experienced and stronger crews and are expecting this to continue as the season goes on.
