A MEMBER of the Special Operations Task Group has been evacuated from Afghanistan to a coalition medical facility in Europe after being wounded.
The soldier was wounded earlier this month in a contact with the Taliban while on patrol in Oruzgan Province. He received immediate first-aid from other patrol members before being evacuated.
He is in a stable condition and responding well to treatment. Another SOTG soldier received superficial wounds in the same contact.
