THE second instalment of the Workplace Remuneration Arran-gement (WRA) and Star Ranks Remuneration Arrangement (SRRA) came into effect on August 9, with a 2.8 per cent wage increase across all ranks up to Maj-Gen(E).
The WRA provides for a 12.6 per cent wage increase from November 2006 to November 2009.
Director Military Salaries and Allowances Policy Col Terry McCullagh said the pay increase would also apply to salary-related allowances such as service allowance.
Members had received a rise of 4.2 per cent in November 2006. There will be another 2.8 per cent increment in May next year and again in February 2009.
