Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter II
Xbox 360/PS3/PC
(MA15+)
The game: GRAW II throws CAPT Scott Mitchell back into the fray amidst a Mexican civil war led by mutinous ex-army heavies. As you work to prevent the uprising spilling over onto US soil, the matter of a few stolen nuclear weapons threatens to turn the tide of battle.
The play: Identical to the first GRAW in that it is still one of the finest examples of third-person tactical shooting available. Along with the increased weapon roster and newly added field medics, GRAW II adds an ingenious new interface option that allows you to full-screen the point of view of your squad to give movement orders or call out targets from afar. Coordinating your men and remote drone with this new ability is an absolute joy.
The terrain: Once again, identical to the first GRAW which has aged slightly but with new details and locations that will still get the most out of your Xbox 360.
The experience: Since the game was churned out in less than a year after the first title, GRAW II feels more like an expansion pack rather than a true sequel. That said, the multiplayer has really swelled with features and the action is still as intense as ever. |
