Eledees
Wii, (G)
3/5 stars
The Game: Eledees concerns the disappearance of little creatures called Eledees which provide power to the entire world. The game’s main character decides it’s up to him to find and capture the Eledees with his father’s capture gun to restore power to the world and get to the bottom of the mystery.
The Play: You will completely destroy the household as you fling, shake, and break objects with the capture gun in a panic to capture (not kill) enough Eledees and restore power to rooms and objects before the time runs out. Discover enough Eledees and you can power up household devices such as an oven, into which you can put a turkey to discover yet more Eledees.
The Terrain: The cartoony cutesy visuals are not fantastic but, considering the sheer amount of objects than can be manipulated, the graphics do the job well and suit the theme of the game.
The Experience: The fun of throwing large objects around with the flip of a wrist (and creating havoc in the process) as well as shooting cutesy things that sound like cats is a lot of fun and cannot be understated. It could best be summed up as the ultimate “make-a-mess” simulator. |
