Black Hawk BOI set to begin

“My job is to bring you back safely.” They were the words of HMAS Anzac’s Commanding Officer to his HEARINGS into the crash of Black Hawk 221 will begin before a Board of Inquiry (BOI) at Randwick Barracks on June 18.
The BOI has been established to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the loss of the Black Hawk operating with HMAS Kanimbla off Fiji on November 29 last year. Capt Mark Bingley and Tpr Joshua Porter died in the incident.
Since the BOI was established, Counsel Assisting the board have collected and analysed evidence relevant to the terms of reference.
