A BRISBANE-based artillery unit offered potential recruits a chance to trial a career with Army during Operation First Contact.
BC 13 Fd Bty Maj Brian Nally said the day could lead to a new career. “If you have ever wondered what life in the Army was about then this is a great place to start,” Maj Nally said.
Ms Temple said she wanted to join the Army since she was about 14, and a part-time career would fit in well with her family life.
On hand to welcome the participants were Cpl Julie Tierney, Gnr Curtis Gordon, Gnr Daniel Thornton, Sgt Wayne Crocker and Gnr James Wilkinson.
