NAIDOC Week service
AN ABORIGINAL and Torres Strait Islander memorial service will be held at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Memorial behind the Australian War Memorial on July 5 from noon-2pm. Health conference
PAPERS are invited for the 2006 Defence Health and AMMA Conference at the Brisbane Convention Centre from October 19-22. The theme is “Military Health – the Challenges”. Abstracts are to be forwarded by June 30 to the Director of Defence Force Nursing, CP2-7-003, Department of Defence, Campbell Park, Northcott Drive, Campbell ACT 2600. Copies of the Call for Abstract form can be found on www.amma.asn.au/amma2006, as can a registration brochure. Mess details
LT Myles Conquest, SME, is collating information on the Steele Barracks Officers Mess at SME. He is looking for information on major events or occurrences that have shaped the mess into what it is today. This includes: historical facts about the mess, details of extensions and when they occurred, key donations and information on the original location of the mess.
