COALITION members joined forces recently in a battle against the elements that saw only sweat spilt in Iraq.
Australian and US forces joined in a very successful fun run organised by HQ JTF 633, at Camp Victory.
More than 350 runners descended on Aussie Island for what was the biggest fun run held at the camp this year.
US Navy Lt-Cmdr Matthew Simms was first to finish, in 34min 50sec.
The first Aussie home was Sqn-Ldr Chris Hayden in just over 38min.
Co-organiser Cpl Janine Davison, who posted a PB 43min 27sec, said the run was a great way to get the allies together.
“I was really pleased with the turnout and the Americans seemed to really appreciate the Aussie hospitality,” she said.
