Funding for Pooh cleanup

THE Federal Government has agreed to provide funds to Brisbane City Council to remove rubbish and waste from the former Defence site known as Pooh Corner in preparation for a formal handover of the property for use as public parkland.
Waste from exploded grenades and other ordnance will be removed before the transfer goes ahead.
