TOPS tops tops. Fans of The Cat Empire rejoice – Cities, this Melbourne group’s latest offering, is a cracker.
While different from both Two Shoes and their self-titled debut album, Cities still emphasisies a great horn and percussion section. But, this is an experimental album that sees the use of unusual instruments including the sitar, tamb and tablas (similar to a kettle drum), as well as the vocals of jazz vocalists Nina Ferro and Julie O’Hara.
