Coming in loud and clear

By Cpl Andrew Hetherington
Volume 11, No. 39, March 23, 2006

110 Sig Sqn has been awarded a commendation for their “tireless and exemplary performance” in their support to Operation Catalyst.

The commendation was awarded to the unit by the previous commander of JTF 633 Cdre Geoff Ledger and was presented by Land Commander Maj-Gen Mark Kelly during a ceremony at LHQ on February 23.

It is planned to disband 110 Sig Sqn by the end of next year but, Sqn OPSO Capt Keogh said this would not mean an end to the role the unit currently carries out for the Army and ADF.

“As a part of the Hardened Network Army policy, the unit will be absorbed into LSF Sigs Unit with 145 and 130 Sig Sqns,” he said.
