Online security training now available

THE Defence Security Authority (DSA) has introduced a new online electronic security training course, Introduction to Security, available on the Defence Campus website, at http://lms.dcb.defence.gov.au/logon.asp.

Members should log on and then type ‘Security’ into the search field at the top of the screen then double click on the course title to enrol.

The course should take the average member about an hour to complete and includes a short assessment at the end.

Aimed at new starters in the organisation the course provides a basic overview of the security function within Defence and outlines the fundamental security responsibilities of personnel.

It can be used by existing members as a security refresher course and could contribute to Defence’s annual security briefing requirements, with the concurrence of a Unit Security Officer.

Once a member has successfully completed the course, the results will be automatically recorded against their PMKeyS number and remain current for 12 months.

DSA would like your feedback at dsa.securityawareness@defence.gov.au
