ARMY entrants were a runaway success in the high profile women’s Classic fun run held in Melbourne late last year, taking out the 10km and 5km events.

In the 10km event Army entered two teams, with the ADF Mum’s team of Capt Jo-Anne Hem and WO2 Angela Dent, both from ALTC Bonegilla, taking first place and the ADF M&M’s team of Pte Jodie Mills and Pte Shelly Marsh also from ALTC Bonegilla, came a respectable fifth place.

In the 5km event Defence entered two teams of two and the Army team of Capt Jo-Anne Hem and Pte Maree Leonard took out first place.

All participants had a sensational team experience and achieved their goals, which proves you do not have to be an elite athlete to have a go in competitions.
