Personnel
- just what the doctrine ordered
ADELs
graphic improvements
THE
latest version ADEL CD 2006 will be in most units by the end of
January.
ADEL users will see a noticeable difference in the look and
feel of the home page. The new graphics feature more combat-oriented
enhancements, but the content and logical categorisation remains.
In addition to the quick search option, you can still
search for a publication using convenient categories such as corps,
weapons or training. You are also still
able to locate your publication using the familiar hierarchical
representation of Army doctrine the LWD Doctrine Hierarchy.
The CD only contains land warfare doctrine. ADEL Online provides
users with links to joint and coalition doctrine such as the ADFP
06.1.1 Discipline Law Manual (currently ADFP 201), manuals such
as Army Standing Orders for Dress, and the Centre for Army Lessons,
which holds all historical doctrine electronically.
Warfare manual
THERE is a new edition of the Manual of Land Warfare 2-9-2 Range
Regulations.
The manual has been comprehensively revised and issued as a consolidated
version, which includes all amendments from AL1 to the most recent
amendment, AL 8.
The updated edition allows all units to dispose of their existing
stocks of MLW 2-9-2 Range Regulations, as well as all previous amendments.
Units can now simply hold the consolidated MLW 2-9-2 Range Regulations
(AL 8) publication, without worrying about amending and updating
it.
Accessing doctrine
NEW publications will appear on the Army Doctrine Electronic Library
(ADEL) web site soon after their signing. Army units can access
current doctrine publications electronically on ADEL at http://adel.defence.gov.au
Information on current Army Doctrine can be found at the Doctrine
Wing homepage at http://lwdc.sor.defence.gov.au/doctrine/
Units requiring hard copies of Land Warfare Doctrine publications
are able to order these using the SP 150 Publication Access Request
Form available on Defweb. If you have access to ADEL Online, you
able to order LWD Hierarchy doctrine publications simply by filling
in the order doctrine electronic submission form.
