Catching
up: Prime Minister John Howard meets soldiers from the Special
Operations Task Group on Op Slipper during his visit to Afghanistan
on November 21. Mr Howard says he is impressed by the good
heart, professionalism and commitment of the Australian forces
in Afghanistan.
Making his first visit to the country, the PM also met with
Afghan President Hamid Karzai and assured him that Afghanistan
was not alone in its struggle against terrorism. Photo by
