Soldier’s girl gets welcome surprise

THE return of 5/7RAR soldiers from Iraq brought more than her beau back for one lucky Darwin lady.

Renae Adami got a welcome surprise shortly after her boyfriend Pte Leonard Tideswell got off the aircraft.

He dropped to one knee and proposed to her in the crowded arrival lounge – much to Renae’s shock.

First the surprise was too much and Renae scampered away, but accepted her love’s proposal.
Congratulations to Pte Tideswell and Renae.
