Funds aid Brisbane families

TRIVIAL matters were investigated as a pursuit of knowledge and funds for the Salvation Army (Defence Services) in the Brisbane area.

The recent trivia night, which took place at Gallipoli Barracks Officers mess, was held to support the Salvation Army, which has assisted soldiers and their families from the Enoggera area.

The event was well supported with 11 teams vying for the title of trivia master, answering categories of questions ranging from pontiff history through to the structure of the human ear.

The night turned out to be a mentally draining affair with the event finally being won by a team from D Coy 6RAR and their guests.

The final result of the evening was a total of $1800 raised for the Salvation Army.

6 Bn Salvation Army representative Capt Lindley Fabre accepted the cheque on behalf of the organisation. The money will aid in providing services to the soldiers and their families within the Brisbane area.
