Oakey’s
aviation on show
ARMY
aviation history will be on proud display at Oakey when a new
$1.7m hangar opens for the Museum of Australian Army Flying on
September 2.
The museum is one of Army’s technology museums and the hangar
will provide a modern home to ensure the protection of its aviation
heritage.
Visitors will be able to experience the heritage, technological
advancement and brave stories of the Army’s aviators.
The hangar will house a comprehensive collection of aircraft and
a large collection of Army aviation memorabilia.
Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence Teresa Gambaro
will officially open the hangar.
