IF
THE idea of a dancing, singing Lemur voiced by Sacha Baron Cohen
(Ali G) appeals to you, the Madagascar soundtrack should be
right up your jungle track. Hans Zimmer composed the soundtrack
but it doesn’t have the sparkle of his other cartoon soundtracks
like The Lion King.

WAKING
up to Jem is no difficulty with her hauntingly beautiful album,
so different to everything else that’s out there. Finally
Woken is a mix of trip-hop beats, with a slight Dido twist.

THIS
latest effort from virtual band the Gorillaz is definitely
a grower, but once it weaves it’s way into your head there
is no escape. Listening to this well crafted work by Damon
Albarn (Blur) and cartoonist Jamie Hewlett is like tucking
into a stir-fry, full of meaty goodness with a few weird bits
chucked in.

MIX
early U2, with a little Stone Temple Pilots and Coldplay’s
previous two albums and you have X&Y, their latest release.
A surprising mix of beautiful lyrics, melody and music.
