THE ADF men’s soccer team, recently formed from known soccer players throughout Australia, will face two tough matches in early July.

On July 6 the team will compete against players from the visiting USS Kittyhawk at Randwick Barracks from 1pm, then on July 9 it will be in Townsville to play a curtain raiser against the North Queensland Razorbacks at the Townsville Sports Reserve from 6pm. The match will precede an Aleague match between Queensland Roar and Central Coast Mariners.

Although the national soccer carnival has not yet been held, Australian Combined Services Soccer Association President Leut-Cmdr Paul Denneny couldn’t resist the offers from the US and Townsville teams.

WO2 Blaise Fagan will coach the side for both matches.
