Pacman
made easier
ADEL
Online has a new look. The front end of Army’s doctrine web presence
and the 2005 version of ADEL CD has changed significantly, reflecting
enhancements suggested in the ADEL User Needs Surveys and validation
visits in units around the country throughout 2004.
ADEL’s new homepage features Land Warfare Doctrine arranged into
logical categories such as “Weapons”, “Training” and “Safety”,
as well as corpsspecific doctrine in addition to the familiar
hierarchical representation of Army doctrine.
Army doctrine can be ordered directly from ADEL Online and the
“Feedback” and “Help” functions have been enhanced. The “Search”
functionality is vastly improved and continues to be the primary
focus for continuous improvements to ADEL Online.
While the ADEL CD 2005 only contains Land Warfare Doctrine, ADEL
Online also provides links to Joint and Coalition doctrine. Access
to other non-doctrine manuals, documents and policy is available
from ADEL to Defweb.
It is intended that the ADEL CD will be produced again mid-way
through 2005 to enable CD Users of ADEL to access the new doctrine
publications and amendments and that have been published since
the end of 2004.
Monthly updates regarding the latest doctrine developments will
be a continuing feature in Army newspaper.
New publications from Ground Surveillance to Urban Ops Tactics,
Band Drill Manual and Field Dentistry are covered. Check out the
ADEL online site to see a complete list of the new doctrine.
