Plans for Pucka’s MQs

A $19.6 million Federal Government plan to build 80 new married quarters at Puckapunyal is currently under way with all houses expected to be completed by November 2006.

The project follows an initial 20 houses that were completed at Puckapunyal in December 2004.

The houses will be built on existing residential blocks that have been cleared and no infrastructure work will be required.

Defence Housing Authority (DHA), will be responsible for the project and is required to seek parliamentary approval before the works can proceed.
