game: It is 330 BC, and the 3000 weary
military units under your command face a
fearsome opposing army in the tens of thousands.
Alexander the Great was a dashing warrior
king, filled with ambition and courage who
led his vastly outnumbered forces vastly
outnumbered forces against massive armies,
conquering 90 per cent of the known world
by the age of 25.
This newly released real-time strategy offi
cial PC game, Alexander is directly tied
to the Alexander movie. Integrating exclusive
footage from the motion picture, the game
immerses players in the era of Alexander
the Great.
The
play: Players face the challenges of
managing vast resources, a multitude of
units, buildings and advancements, while
enemies always seem to have more of everything.
Your men’s blood will be spilt on the battlefi
eld and honour will be put to the test,
as the courage and cunning of each decision
will determine success.
Success is determined by the formations,
your force’s morale, and authentic battle
tactics that you use to defeat a reactive
enemy.
The
people: Fight various armies from around
the globe including elephant cavalry and
war camels with up to 64000 units on the
battlefi eld with 8000 on screen at any
one time.
The
terrain: You control forces on land
and at sea, utilise natural resources to
build villages that finance and logistically
supply your forces in a variety of lands.
The
experience: The graphics are great,
the battle sound effects are credible and
the mass of units fi ghting to the death
make this a worthwhile title.
