HARD work, enthusiasm and an innovative approach have led to Cpl Anthony Robinson, Catering Tp 3CSR, being named Australian Army Catering Corps (AACC) Soldier of the Year for 2004.

AACC Soldier of the Year is for all junior NCOs and soldiers in the corps throughout Australia.

3CSR Caterer WO2 Brett Gear nominated Cpl Robinson after noting the very high standards the chef consistently achieved in all areas of unit life, ranging from cookery to sport and acting as treasurer of the 3CSR Soldiers’ Club.

WO2 Gear said Cpl Robinson had proven to be an extremely professional soldier, who was well versed in his duties and responsibilities and an inspiration to his subordinates.

“Most importantly, he always demonstrates a willingness to learn more about his chosen trade, by striving to master the advanced fundamentals of cookery and by trying new dishes and new ideas,” WO2 Gear said.

“He entered this year’s 3 Bde Good Ideas Expo and was highly commended by the judging panel for his efforts.”
