ADF comp set to challenge

WODONGA Country Golf Club in North-East Victoria will host the 2005 ADF Cup from April 11-13.

During the past 22 years, this event was known as the Defence Force Cup and the Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps (RAAOC) Cup, but in 2005 changed to the ADF Cup, incorporating the inaugural ADF Golf Association North-East Victoria Regional Golf Championships and the 23rd RAAOC Championship.

Capt Paul Henry said this year would be the .rst that Wodonga, a challenging 6289m par 72 course, would host the cup

“The event is open to all serving and retired Defence Force Members of the three services, as well as Defence civilians and Defence contractors,” he said.

Round one of the 36-hole competition will be played on April 11, with round two on April 12. A further Ambrose event will be held on April 13, which will be open to ADF Cup sponsors. A novice category has also been included in this year’s competition.
