Reise
Rammstein, Universal
Released just in time for Oktoberfest, German band Rammsteins
anthemic new album will have you rolling your Rs
in a beer hall in no time.
Drums pound mercilessly at your eardrums in a blitzkrieg attack,
while down-tuned guitars, chunkier than a bratwurst, complement
vocalist Till Lindemann as he rants on like a German Darth Vader
with a sore throat. Who knows, after a few steins you may even be
able to understand what hes growling about.

Big
Big Love
Little Birdy, Virgin
Listening to this debut offering from Perth band Little Birdy, is
the sonic equivalent of having a silk wrapped dagger in your heart.
Cleverly crafted happy little melodies offset by melancholy lyrics
sung with such deep conviction as these is enough to make your CD
player cry.
Vocalist/guitarist Katy Steeles voice is so sweet that you
could stir it into your coffee if you ran out of sugar.

The sub-title
of ths album is The Singles from 1997-2004, which to me
means its the only Living End album youll need... for
this year.
All the favourites are on this one and will leave you punk rocking
your spring away.

Ministry of Sound, BMG
Is it possible that Ministry of Sound never disappoints? Chillout
Sessions 6 doesnt have the ballad theme the last album had
but it is chock-a-block with 70s disco revamp sounds and
perfect for the upcoming BBQ weather.

Funny how country singer Keith Urban wasnt a name in the mainstream
Aussie music scene until he hit absolute rock solid gold in the
US.
His new album is what youd expect of a country singer, but
with a refreshing Australian honesty and charm.
Nice album, but if countrys not your bag dont
buy the album.
