PORT Power fans all over Australia are celebrating Port’s win in the AFL Grand Final, and just as fervant is WO2 Mick Leckie in Baghdad.

WO2 Leckie is a Port Adelaide lad who has followed the Power since they entered the league in 1997.

Being outside Australia didn’t mean he’d miss the big game.

“We’re lucky in Baghdad as we can get access to satellite TV and we’ve been able to follow the footy a bit, depending on work commitments,” WO2 Leckie said.

“There is little in terms of rest from work, the environment and the dangers here in the Middle East, so Grand Final day offers just a momentary pause and dose of Aussie reality for those not on duty during the game.”
