Movie Review

Punch is not perfect, first is still supreme
The Bourne Supremacy
Stars Matt Damon, Franka Potente, Brian Cox. Rated M

Reviewer: PTE John Wellfare

I WAS a little concerned when I heard that the sequel to Doug Liman's 2002 action flick The Bourne Identity was under a different director, but Paul Greengrass has brought the same intensity he put into Bloody Sunday.

Strange Generation

Dirty Americans, Roadrunner Records

Reviewer: Michael Weaver

TAKE a singer named Myron, a drummer who calls himself Jeremiah Pilbeam, add Jeff on guitar and Patrick on bass and you have the Dirty Americans - the so-called "raunchy, acid-drenched rock quartet from America".

Critical accounts

The Battle of Long Tan: As told by the commanders
By Bob Grandin.
Allen and Unwin.
332pp. $35
Reviewer: CPL Cameron Jamieson

FOR MANY years Long Tan was only vaguely remembered due to the lack of a detailed history of the battle. That all changed in 1987 when Lex McAulay released the book The Battle of Long Tan.

Airman's struggles

By Bill Randle.
Crécy Publications.
340pp. $52.

Reviewer: AIRCDRE Mark Lax

MY FIRST impression was 'Oh no, not another World War II airman's autobiography'. However, I was pleasantly surprised and found it most enjoyable and hard to put down.
