Volleyball
THE
2004 ADFVA National Championships will be held in Brisbane from
November 13-21. Beach volleyball will be held at Strathpine
Beach Volleyball Centre and the indoor volleyball will be held
at Boondall.

Kayaking
EXPRESSIONS
of interest are now being sought for a sea kayak adventurous
training expedition to be conducted in the waters of south east
Tasmania from January 7-16, 2005. Ex Tasman Advance ’05 will
be the second in an annual series of adventurous training activities
to be conducted in Australian waters by AWWA.

Running
ADF
Marathon Championships Sunday, August 1, held in conjunction
with the Townsville Marathon. Sydney City to Surf run is on
August 8.
Lawn
Bowls
ACT/Southern
NSW Interservice Lawn Bowls Competition will be held on August
19-20 at West Deakin Hellenic Bowling Club, Kent St, Deakin.
Beginners as well as experienced bowlers needed to take the
Shield from Navy.
Squash
ADF
Squash invites squash players of all levels to participate
in the ADF National Championship to be held at RAAF Base Williamtown
from August 13-16. The competition comprises the mens’ and
womens’ open and graded championships, mixed masters and doubles
events, as well as the annual national interservice championship.
Cricket
THE
Army Cricket Association is seeking a Darwin representative
to act as the Darwin talent scout for Army and to organise
a Darwin-based Army team for the May 2005 Arafura games.
THE
ADF national cricket carnival will be held in Brisbane from
November 14-17. Selections for the Australian Services Cricket
Association (ASCA) squad to tour the UK in July 2005, will take
place. This tour will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the
first Services Cricket Tour that took place in 1945.
Basketball
ACT/WAGGA
Interservice Basketball Competition has opened player, coaching
and referee nominations for anyone interested in participating
in the 2004 ACT/Wagga Interservice Basketball Competition
to be held over the weekend August 13, 14 and 15, at RMC.
