Very
late one night, an on-call chaplain stares at a distressed
soldier in amazement. After speaking for just over an hour
the soldier took the Padre downstairs to show him something
- a rope hanging from a beam. The soldier says shakily,
"I was honestly going to top myself tonight, Padre. Thanks
for coming. Thanks for being here."
