ADF threesome
THE
ADF hockey champions from 2003 are looking forward to reuniting
at the ADF Hockey Championships at Albury in June.
They will be pushing for selection to compete at the next Australian
National Country Championships to be hosted by ADF and held at the
Pines Hockey Stadium in Adelaide from July 31 - August 7.
Last years tour of the Australian Country Men’s tour in New
Zealand unearthed WCDR Rowley Tompsett, Cpl Craig Tippett and Leut
Stuart Cayzer as national champions.
Cpl Craig Tippett from Robertson Barracks in Darwin was a late inclusion
in the squad as he was not initially selected at the National Country
Championships held in Dubbo last year, but his versatility and commitment
showed as he was required to play in nearly every position but the
back line. His drive for the circle stood out on several occasions
throughout the tour.
