Farewell barks from dogs in Solomons

From Capt Andrew Bird in Honiara
THE Army Explosive Detection Dogs (EDD) from the Darwin-based 1CER were given an official farewell by the Commander of the Combined Task Force, Lt-Col John Hutcheson, after almost six months deployed on Op Anode.

The dogs and their handlers have performed a range of tasks but were mainly involved in searches for weapons and the recovery of explosives.

The dogs will return to Australia and spend 60 days in quarantine before they return to 1CER.
