Cops cop it in soccer friendly

From Capt Andrew Bird in Honiara
IT WAS always going to be a one-sided game, or so the Participating Police Force currently serving on RAMSI in the Solomon Islands would have had you believe.

The ADF was challenged to a friendly game of soccer on a makeshift field near Henderson Airport and from kick-off, it was clear the police were no match for the super-fit ADF personnel.

The first half saw a pretty tight game with the ADF only scoring one goal just before half time.

Ten minutes into the second half, the police were ready to give up, with three goals all scored within five minutes. Their weakness had been found and the onslaught began.

The game was won six nil and the ADF members have been reminding the police ever since.
