ONCE again Army alpine ski and snowboard racers are needed to compete in this year's Army Snowsports Championships at Mt Buller from August 1-7.

Race results will be used to select an Army team to compete in the ADF Alpine Snowsports Championships from August 8-12, also at Mt Buller.

In both championships skiers will race in Slalom and Giant Slalom events (men's and women's) and the boarders in Giant Slalom and BoarderX events.

Costs to individuals are expected to be about $800 for the Army Championships and about $700 for the ADF Championships.

This includes accommodation, coaching, race fees and lift tickets.
