DEFENCE members can take advantage of a "buy one, get one free"
ticket offer for the Brisbane Lions home game against Hawthorne
at the Gabba on April 24.
The
special promotion on the eve of Anzac Day, open to all ADF personnel
and RSL members, was offered last year and is hoped to become an
annual tradition.
Lions'
match-day promotions coordinator Rebecca Richard-Preston said military
staff and RSL members need only provide some relevant proof of identification
at any Ticketmaster7 outlet from Monday April 5.
"The
offer will be to buy one ticket, get one ticket of equal or lesser
value free," Ms Richard-Preston said.
"What
we are really trying to do is provide a great night out to help
celebrate Anzac Day with friends and family, and honour those who
fought for Australia."
Ms
Richard-Preston said the offer was valid for categories one, two
and three seating.
"One
of the integral parts of our planning in 2004 is to make our home
games not only entertaining but also significant to Queensland and
its people.
"We
are hoping to provide a great night out to [commemorate] Anzac Day
with happiness, with friends and with family and most importantly
honouring those who have served the nation."
