The
winning corporate edge

THE ADF soccer teams have won two of the three soccer divisions
in the NSW Corporate Games' Soccer Competition.
The
five teams also managed to score a second and third place without
the opportunity for prior training.
The
competition, held in Sydney last month, was part of the Corporate
Games' multi-sports festival which was designed to bring management
and workers together as corporate teams.
Team
member Capt Mark Pearson believed the quality and standard of ADF
players around the country was very high, as the results show.
"This
was despite some players not even knowing the names of other players
prior to kick-off" he said.
Games
Director Walt Hiltner said over the years the ADF has built an awesome
reputation at the games.
"They're
a great group, a real force to be reckoned with. The ADF has the
teams to beat," he said.
In
the womens' division, the two ADF teams came first and second.
The
men tried hard to match the women, coming first in the men's over-30s
competition and third in the mens open competition.
Many
tri-service friendships were made and you can bet beyond doubt that
the ADF will be back next year, ready again to be the teams to beat.
