LEFT:
Salvation Army Representative Russell Lawson, RAMSI, with
Prime Minister John Howard during the PM's pre-Christmas
trip. Mr Lawson has been in the Solomons since mid-November.
He is normally based at Lavarack Barracks though supports
many units and organisations. The PM spotted Mr Lawson's
uniform and excused himself to come over and thank him personally
for what he is doing in the name of The Salvation Army.

line for Christmas lunch in the Solomons.
To celebrate Christmas, officers, warrant officers and sergeants
assisted the cooks in preparing a Christmas lunch for the
troops deployed on Op Anode.
