Crossed rifles shoot on at Majura

CANBERRA District Army Rifle Association will conduct an applied marksmanship practice - the Crossed-Rifles Shoot - at Majura Range on Sunday, December 7, 2003.

There will be a medal presented to the highest scorer on the day, badges for the top 10 shooters and any member who qualifies will get a Minute to their CO certifying the practice, date and score.

Any Steyr-qualified member of any Service, regular or reserve, is welcome to attend, however, in the unlikely event that more shooters turn up than can be accommodated, priority will be given to those who have notified Sgt Barry Cox or Sgt Brian Hartigan of their intent to attend.

Shooters should bring an issued Steyr if they can, however, a limited number of weapons will be available.

Civilian cars will not be allowed past Range Control. Therefore, all participants should arrive at range control no later than 0840 to catch a military shuttle to the MTR.

Dress is DPCU. Bring webbing if you have it, or borrow some on the day. An entry fee of $10 will apply to cover the cost of the medal, badges and brew gear.
