PMKeys trials self-service program

By Cpl Damian Shovell
THE responsibility for maintaining recall and contact details could soon fall upon individual members.

PMKeyS is currently trialing the use of a new Employee Self Service (ESS) program, which could soon enable members of the ADF to conduct the following:

  • View and modify personal details including home and mailing address and telephone number.
  • View leave balances including recreation, sick and long service leave.
  • View leave history for all leave taken.
  • View and modify emergency contact details.
  • View bank details including deductions (APS).
  • View and print pay slips for the previous two-year period (APS).
  • Change PMKeys ESS password.

All personnel transaction types are being developed for inclusion into the trial, including the Employment Preferences and Restrictions (EAPR).

This has been developed to allow ADF personnel to view and input their EAPR data directly into PMKeys via ESS.

The following is being actively developed:

  • Processing leave (utilises workflow functionality in PMKeys) - ADF and APS.
  • Viewing individual readiness data (ADF).
  • Viewing dependant beneficiary data (ADF and APS).
  • Amending banking and deductions data (APS).

These transactions will be authorised by a delegate, however, ESS provides for the information to be auditable, allowing the member to remain accountable for the accuracy of information provided.
