Sideways glance pays off

BDR Jeff Brown recently impressed his competition by finishing third in the NSW Sidecar Championship.

On the weekend of August 2-3, Bdr Brown, 7 Fd Regt, in a field of some 20 sidecars, beat favourite Mick Alton and current Australian champion Vince Messina.

In an action-packed meeting, Bdr Brown overcame brake problems and managed to settle into new passenger Darren Sheldrick.

He finish behind the big budget teams of Warren Bruce and former Australian champion Doug Chivas.

There was no time to rest, as the Australian titles were recently held at Ipswich’s Queensland Raceway.

These were followed by the Victorian Championships, then the final round of the Australian Championships at Sydney’s Eastern Creek International Raceway on the 29-31 August.
