Calling engineers for education program

The Directorate of Technical Regulation – Army (DTR-A) is looking for candidates to take part Land Engineer Professional Development Program (LEPDP).

The LEPDP requires professional engineers to develop specified competencies through training and work experience.
Professional engineers who successfully complete the program will be eligible to seek accreditation as a Chartered Professional Engineer and registration on the National Professional Engineers Register.

For the purposes of the LEPDP, the term “engineer” includes individuals holding an IEAust-recognised four-year bachelor of engineering degree and allocated to the corps of RAE, RASigs and RAEME.

Completed applications should be sent through the chain of command and reach DTR-A by August 30.

Applicants who were unsuccessful for the pilot LEPDP in 2002/2003 should confirm their nominations for the 2003/2004 program.

Details of the prerequisites are available at the IEAust web site www.ieaust.org.au and application forms are available from the DTR-A web site at: http://sorweb.sor.defence.gov.au/DTRA/

Further information is available from Andrew Barnett on (03) 9282 7558.
