Plenty of stick expected

 

THE male and female ACT Combined Services Hockey Teams will compete in the Australian Defence Force Hockey Championships 2003 (ADFHC 2003), which will be conducted in Adelaide during the period May 30 – June 7.

The ADFHC will be played on the water-based artificial surface at The Pines Hockey Stadium, Main North Road, Gepps Cross, Adelaide.

Combined Services teams participating in the men’s competition will be Queensland, NSW, Victoria, ACT, Western Australia and a combined team from South Australia and NT.

The women’s competition will see Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria and a combined team from Western Australia, South Australia and NT competiting for the winners trophy.

To avoid any conflict of interest, all sponsorship and fundraising activities are to be advised to the ADFHC 2003 Tournament Manager before commencement of the championships for approval by the ADF Hockey committee.

The ADF Hockey committee has the power to veto any sponsorship or fundraising activity if it is deemed to be against the best interests of either the ADF or ADF Hockey.

ACT Combined Services Hockey squad members are encouraged to volunteer to help with the fundraising activities at the Canberra RSL Club function. Volunteers will be asked to sell raffle tickets to patrons and assist with other fund raising activities.

A raffle pack will be distributed to all members of the ACT Combined Services Hockey squad.

The pack will contain all required information, including when the raffle will be drawn, prizes and when and to whom the monies collected will be returned.

2003 ADF Hockey national teams will be selected to participate in the men’s and women’s Australian National Country Championships and the Australian Master’s Games.
